Environment. Buffalo Niagara has major environmental problems with sprawl, air quality, water quality, and brownfields. We are experiencing the negative impacts of climate change, including extreme weather events. However, with our abundant water, wind, and solar resources, our region can be a refuge for climate migrants and a major hub for clean, green energy. We must ensure the safety of our residents and ecosystems by promoting green infrastructure, restoring our waterways, and protecting our biodiversity.
